The Craft Behind the Garment

A lot happens before a garment reaches you. A motif is drawn and carved into wooden blocks, usually one for each colour. The printer mixes the colour, lines up each block by eye and presses it onto the fabric, repeat after repeat. The cloth is then dried, washed and finished. Our Bagru prints come from Ram and his team in Bagru, our hand block prints are made with AK in Jaipur, and our Tussar silk and batik are crafted with Amitav in West Bengal.
