Niloufer, a name for the water lily, is a deep indigo kurta set with an easy, relaxed shape. The knee-length kurta is printed with a soft blue trellis pattern and paired with straight indigo pants for a look that feels cool, calm and quietly classic.
Bagru printing comes from the village of Bagru near Jaipur, where artisans have printed by hand with carved wooden blocks and natural dyes for generations. This set uses dabu, a mud-resist technique. A paste of mud is block printed onto the fabric to protect the pattern before dyeing, then washed away to reveal the design. On Niloufer, this creates a flowing trellis in lighter blue, with soft edges and gentle shifts in tone. The sleeves switch to a striped Bagru print in indigo and cream, adding contrast while keeping the set in one family of colour.
Made in 100% cotton, the kurta has a round neck, a buttoned front placket and pintucks on the yoke that fall into a gentle flare. The set includes the kurta and straight pants.
